The apartment is situated in the area known as Vinohrady, famous for its pubs, restaurants and interesting nightlife and is only a 10-15 minute walk to the major tourist area. Euro 25) and take about 25 mins. It is the easier method. BUS, METRO - Public transport to the apartment from the airport will cost you CZK 26 (around Euro 1) and take about 45 minutes. You would need to take a bus, then metro - you would firstly need to buy a bustraintram ticket CZK 26 (yizdenky - dvardset shest in phonetic Czech) from the newsagency at the airport - the airport bus stop is about 15 metres in front of you when you exit the airport (not the little minbuses you see when you first walk out).Take bus No. 119 (Centrum) to the last stop - Dejvicka metro station (about 20 min bus ride with all the stops). Go downstairs to the metro and go to the stop Jiriho z podebrad on the A Green Line (about 10 min trip). You can then follow the directions to the apartment on the map we will forward to you (only a 2 min walk from tram stop to apartment).Holesovice Railway Station to Apartment:Taxi - I would not recommend using the taxis waiting outside the station as they will overcharge you. It is better to take out Czech Crowns from the bankomat and purchase something from the cafeteria to get coins to call a taxi from the public phonebooth. This way you will ride in one of the registered taxi companies. The taxi fare should cost around CZK 250. The numbers for the registered taxi companies are: (AAA Taxi) 222 333 222, (Profi Taxi) 261 314 151. A taxi from Holesovice to Premyslovska Apartment will take around 15 minutes. Metro, Tram: You would need to purchase a ticket (jizdenky) for 26 Kc (Czech Crown) at the Tabak (newsagents) at Holesovice station. This ticket will cover your metro and tram fares. Take the train three stops to Hlavni nadrazi metro stop (you need to punch your ticket in the orange machine as you walk down to the platform to validate it). When you come out of Hlavni nadrazi station start walking to your left, through the park (2 mins walk), and you will come to the Muzeum tram stop for tram No 11 (see attached map). Take the tram three short tramstops and get off at Jiriho z podebrad tramstop. You can then follow the directions from the map we will forward you to get to the apartment (only a short 2 min walk through the park). Journey should take approximately 35 minutes.
